Snow business like no business

Snow is Nice at Christmas.

Our local council failed to grit the footpaths or the road for the second day/night in succession so by this morning it was an ice ring with a 6cm coating of snow.............imagine what it will be like by Friday if it freezes tonite.
So much for their duty of care.

I did try to get into work, took 20 minutes to get from my door to the bus stop 3 streets away, fell over twice (much to the amusement of the local school kids ! haha), waited 1/2 hour for a bus , still snowing, roads were so slushy and cars moving at about 5 mph. Gave up on the buses after the second one came (after 45mins) and was full to bursting.......At least my job aint one where people are gonna suffer or die if I don't show up.
